From Intense Workouts to Dehydration – The Journey to a Perfect Physique
Pratik Gandhi, known for his outstanding performances, is set to captivate audiences once again in his upcoming Netflix comedy Dhoom Dhaam. Co-starring Yami Gautam, the film has been generating buzz, particularly after Gandhi’s impressive body transformation. However, achieving that chiseled physique was no easy feat.
In a candid conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Gandhi shared how he had to endure extreme physical challenges, including drinking minimal water, dealing with painful cramps, and following a strict high-protein diet.
“I Thought I Would Never Do This” – Pratik Gandhi on His Transformation
While discussing his fitness journey, Pratik Gandhi was asked if he always had a sculpted body hidden away. He humorously responded:
“I was always like this—maybe not with such sharp definition, but largely the same body frame.”
However, the transformation for Dhoom Dhaam required intense preparation.
- High-Protein Diet – He significantly increased his protein intake.
- Rigorous Workouts – His fitness regimen became more intense, with minimal rest.
- Minimal Water Consumption – He reduced his water intake to just one liter per day in the final four days before filming.
"Toh maine socha tha aisa toh kabhi nahi karunga (I thought I would never do this),” he shared.
The dehydration process, combined with cutting out carbs and salt, led to irritability, uneasiness, and sleep deprivation. However, he endured it until the song sequence was completed, after which he could finally rehydrate properly.
Dhoom Dhaam: A Night of Chaos and Comedy
Directed by Rishabh Sheth, Dhoom Dhaam follows the story of newlyweds Koyal and Veer, whose first night together takes an unexpected turn. What starts as a seemingly perfect evening soon spirals into a night filled with:
- Deceptive identities
- Surprise guests
- Awkward, laugh-out-loud situations
Produced by Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar (B62 Studios), and Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios), the film promises to be an entertaining blend of humor and chaos.
