This fully access-controlled, four-lane expressway has provisions for future expansion to six lanes, aiming to boost trade, tourism, and connectivity in the region.
The Amas–Darbhanga Expressway project has been divided into four packages and awarded to the following construction companies: - Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL): Responsible for Packages 1, 2, and 3 (Amas to Balbhadrapur). - Ram Kripal Singh Construction Pvt. Ltd.: Handles Package 4 (Balbhadrapur to Bela Nawada).
